GDPR
As of the 25th May, the regulations change in the EU surrounding your rights and your data. As I am based in the UK I am required to comply with these new rules for each of my clients.

What is GDPR?

GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation is a new ruling aimed to give you (the customer) more control over the data that businesses hold on you and how they use it.

Any business owner who resides in or has any clients who reside in the EEA (mostly Europe but a few other countries are in the mix as well) must be fully compliant by 25th May 2018 and the penalties for not complying can be severe.

If you want to know all the ins and outs of GDPR then the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) has a full in-depth rundown here.

Lizzillusions and your Data

The first thing I want to say is, I take your data and your privacy very seriously. I worked in insurance for 17 years and data protection is ta op priority in the financial sector. But as per the compliance I want to tell you a little about what I do with the information you give me.

So, if at some point you gave me your email through one of my sign-up boxes or an order, I will hold identifiable data on you. I try and keep the amount of information I have on you to the minimum I need to provide the service that I offer. For the most part ,this is just your email and first name and sometimes address.

If you are on my mailing list I will use this information to send you email updates on what Lizzillusions is up to with the aim being once a week. In addition to the weekly newsletter, I will also send emails regarding promotions and special offers that I think will benefit you. The only other time that you will get emails from me is if you enter into one of my sequences (you get a new freebie or buy one of my products for instance) or on cases such as this, I need to give you some important information.

Under the GDPR if at any point you wish to see the data I hold on you then you can make a formal request for this information free of charge (repeat or excessive requests may incur a fee)

You can unsubscribe at any time and request for all data to be held on you to be deleted.

What I will not do?

I will not collect information for the sake of it, every bit of data I hold on you has a purpose.

I won’t be passing on any of your details to anyone unless necessary. For example, if you buy a physical product from me, I will need to give your address to the shipping company. I ensure that every organisation I use also follow the strict GDPR guidelines.

I will never sell your information to anyone.

If you have any questions surrounding this, please do not hesitate to get in contact. You can use the contact form or email me on lizzie@lizzillusions.com
